An independent peace project, from Hawaii.
Music for Global Peace was founded by M.I. Behleem in Hawaii. Since 2005, artists around the world have sent in a prayer for peace for the yearly World Prayer for Peace. There were twelve yearly editions from 2005 to 2016, with 1,882 artist participations, and artists from up to 50 countries at the peak in 2010 to 2012.
The 2008 recording received a Special Mention at the 3rd World Peace Film and Music Festival in Lucknow.
In 2027 a second yearly project joins the prayer: World Mail Art for Peace. Both open on 1 January and are released together on World Peace Day, 21 September.
Free, and independent
Music for Global Peace is self-funded and independent. Taking part is free, nothing here is for sale, and nothing here asks for money. Nobody has to prove anything. If you are an artist at heart, you are welcome.

Hear when things open.
We’ll write only when something opens: on 1 January when both calls open, and on 21 September when both videos are released.
Thank you. You’ll hear from us when the calls open.
