World Mail Art for Peace 2027
What does peace feel like to you?
We invite mail artists, and anyone who loves to make, to take part in World Mail Art for Peace 2027, an international gathering of handmade artworks and personal messages for peace.
Create an original postcard, drawing, collage, visual poem or letter inspired by peace. Any technique is welcome: painting, printmaking, photography, artistamps, mixed media, or your own way of making.
Post your work from anywhere in the world. Digital submissions are also welcome: you may email a clear scan or photograph.
Every artwork will be collected, scanned and brought together with peaceful music in the Global Peace Music Mail Art Video, released on 21 September 2027. Every participating artist will be credited.
In this first year there is no limit: you may send any number of artworks.

Any number, there is no limit.
Will my artwork be returned?
No. Submitted artworks will not be returned.
What happens to my artwork?
It is collected, scanned and brought together with peaceful music in the Global Peace Music Mail Art Video. Every artist is credited by name and country.
What size should my artwork be?
There is no restriction. Send anything a scanner can handle, from a small postcard up to a flat A3 sheet. For email, a clear scan or photo in JPG or PNG is fine.
Can I send my work after 30 June 2027?
No. The deadline is final, and works must reach us by 30 June 2027 to be in the video.
Will my words or artwork be edited?
Possibly, only if needed. Music for Global Peace has the right to edit a submission when it helps the project, for example to shorten a prayer line for length, translate it, or crop or resize an artwork. We keep the spirit of your words and your work, the team decides what is best for the project, and final decisions rest with Music for Global Peace.
How will I be credited?
Every artist is credited by name and country, and everyone who takes part is included. For mail art, please also include the title of the work.
Who owns my work?
You do. You keep ownership of your work and give Music for Global Peace permission to use it in the project, with you credited. We may edit it when needed, and final decisions rest with us. Read the full permission terms.
When will the videos be released?
Both videos are released on World Peace Day, 21 September, and stay online on YouTube and on this website.
Also take part in World Prayer for Peace
A written line of prayer for peace, by artists of all faiths.
Hear when things open.
We’ll write only when something opens: on 1 January when both calls open, and on 21 September when both videos are released.
Thank you. You’ll hear from us when the calls open.
