World Prayer for Peace 2027

One prayer, written by artists from every faith.

We invite artists of every kind, from all faiths and from anywhere in the world, to take part in World Prayer for Peace 2027. There is no religious requirement, and nobody has to travel. If you are an artist at heart, you are welcome.

Write a line of prayer for peace. English is preferred, but any language is welcome, and every line is translated into English so that the prayer is clear to all.

Send it through the form on this page, or by email. We do not use social media, so everything arrives by email or the website form.

Once all the lines are collected, the text is prepared and narrated over music. It becomes a video with a slowly moving background, and every artist is credited by name and country while the prayer is read.

The video is released on World Peace Day, 21 September 2027, and stays on YouTube and on this website with the earlier editions.

Prayer questions

Prayer questions.

Do I need to belong to a faith?

No. Artists from all faiths take part, and there is no religious requirement.

How do I send my prayer line?

Use the form on this page or email prayer@musicforglobalpeace.org, when the call opens on 1 January. No social media is needed.

Which languages can I use for my prayer line?

English is preferred, but any language is welcome. We translate every line into English.

Will my words or artwork be edited?

Possibly, only if needed. Music for Global Peace has the right to edit a submission when it helps the project, for example to shorten a prayer line for length, translate it, or crop or resize an artwork. We keep the spirit of your words and your work, the team decides what is best for the project, and final decisions rest with Music for Global Peace.

How will I be credited?

Every artist is credited by name and country, and everyone who takes part is included. For mail art, please also include the title of the work.

Who owns my work?

You do. You keep ownership of your work and give Music for Global Peace permission to use it in the project, with you credited. We may edit it when needed, and final decisions rest with us. Read the full permission terms.
